Here at AFH we know every woman has her own style, shape and event to dress for. That’s why we offer personalised try ons by appointment so you can find the outfit that feels just right for you.
Once you spot a few dresses you love (I recommend choosing 1 to 3), book a try on online and come into the store. I’ll walk you through the collection and help you find your perfect fit.
Bring along any underwear you plan on wearing for your event so you know exactly how everything feels on the day.
When we land on the winner, we can lock in your date and sort payment in store.
There is a $15 per person fee for a standard 30 minute try on but this comes off your hire if you go ahead.

To guarantee availability, we recommend securing your hire for the event date before your try on appontment. If you decide no to proceed with the dress at your appoint,ment, we can issue a store credit to use towards another garment. We also suggest booking your try on a few weeks in advance. This gives you the best chance of having all your preferred options availavle to ensure your date can be locked inot the calendar before its booked by someone else.

For local customers, absolutely not. You’re welcome to book a last minute try on and browse what we have available on the day. Just keep in mind that appointments aren’t guaranteed with short notice, but you can pop your name on our cancellation list through the booking page.
For postage orders, we do require at least five business days’ notice to make sure your parcel arrives in time. If an order is sent after the recommended postal timeframe, Attire For Hire cannot take responsibility for any late arrivals.

We understand accidents can happen, but it’s important that you notify AFH as soon as possible if anything occurs while your dress is on hire.
If the dress is damaged and can be repaired, you’ll be responsible for the repair costs.
If the dress is damaged beyond repair, you will be required to cover the full RRP, along with any future hires we may need to cancel because of the damage.
If the dress only needs a standard dry clean and no repairs, there will be no additional fees.

All hire fees are non refundable. Attire For Hire does not offer refunds for change of mind, illness, event cancellations, incorrect sizing, signs of general wear at AFH discretion, or for any failure to follow our terms and conditions.

If you need to cancel your hire and wish to apply for special consideration, this must be done at least 14 days before your event date. In limited circumstances such as illness or event cancellation, a credit note may be offered at our discretion.

No credit notes will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the booking date.

If your hire arrives and the fit is unsuitable, you must contact us within 3 hours of receiving the garment or bag and return it immediately. A credit note may be offered at our discretion.
Hire credits can be used for future garment hires only. They cannot be redeemed for retail purchases or makeup and hair services. Credit notes do not expire.

It is essential that postal orders are returned on time.
A late fee of $30 per day applies for each day a garment is not returned after the end of the hire period.
If a late return impacts another booking, an additional hire fee will also be charged to cover the loss of that order.
Your details are securely stored at checkout, and any applicable fees will be charged to the card on file.

Please be mindful when placing a postal order that we do not offer credits, exchanges or refunds if an item does not fit.

If you have an upcoming hire with AFH and have selected Rockhampton pick up, you’ll receive a text from me at the start of your hire week with all the details. All Rockhampton orders are collected from Dulcet Hairdressers at 254 Musgrave Street, Berserker.
